Windows Systems:
 | Maintenance Management (1994):
A LAN based work order system that allows the tracking and assigning of
more than 4,000 maintenance tasks per year. Still
in use today. |
 | DSpro (1999): Team Leader for
the successor to Data Sharing. This Windows-based Agency Management system
uses Internet technology for distribution and communications with the Agency
Force. While still giving Agents the ability to change and submit insurance
policies, it also greatly decreases the use and storage of paper through a
policy history system. In production. |
 | MHEDS System (2000): With the
intern team, developed a low-cost medical office management system for
a non-profit clinic. System features include a survey system for United Way
Outcomes analysis, imaging, scheduling, patient, appointment, financial and
insurance form generation. |
 | Digital Imaging Organizer (2000):
This software, developed for use with Sony digital cameras or TWAIN scanners,
can track 10,000 images per CD in a platform-independent database. Includes
Internet attachments for web-publishing pages of images. New shareware
offering. |
 | P.A.S.S. (2000): An address
verifier that can filter unwanted addresses at an extremely high speed.
Available in both a personal computer, network and Internet versions.
Contracted as a telecommuting development project. |

Policy Management Systems (1983):
Converted from a legacy personal lines insurance system to PMS. Maintained
the automobile rating modules, co-wrote the master file purge and retrieval,
and trained programmers in the use of declaration printing. Still in
use today. |

Declaration History System (1984) -
This series of COBOL programs decode an insurance policy and store it in a
series of VSAM master files. This system, written in 1984 to replace
microfilm, has stored every policy printed. Over 30,000,000 documents and
policies are maintained. Still in use today. |

Reusable Modules (1995):
As part of an effort to eliminate duplicate code, created a number of reusable
modules to centralize vital features within email, MQSeries and batch systems.
Still in use today. |

Personal Computer COBOL Systems:
 | Erie Commercial Automated Systems (1987):
Co-led a project to create a commercial insurance rating and renewal system
using new client/server tools. The ECAS system reads and writes directly to
mainframe VSAM files. Still in use today. |
 | Data Sharing (1990): Co-led a
project to create an agency management system for 1,200 agents. The
distributed system holds nearly all of the Agent's policies and allows the
agent to make 80% of changes and new applications. Installed on nearly 5,000
workstations in 8 states. All programs, support file and policy information is
distributed electronically over a value-added network. Still
in use today.

in a technology research team that set direction, recommended purchases and

group that dealt with the most severe problems in a nightly batch run. The
window to correct problems was often 1 hour or less. |

other senior programmers, investigated and implemented ways to speed up the

highest level assistance for outside consultants to install, configure and

Upgraded most automated systems within a large division. Investigated,
recommended, purchased and installed a number of software systems including
CAD, word processing and document management, security and property
management. Assisted in creating personnel projections for 3 year facility
plan. Installed and administered Novell Netware. |
